Our Faith Is Not a Political Pawn
When politicians use religion to divide us, our communities live with the consequences—in our schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, and places of worship. Our children face bullying, our faiths are targeted, and our belonging is questioned. South Asian Texans are Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Christian, and more. Our faith is not a threat, and our children are not political props. We will remember the rhetoric and its impact on our communities when we go to the polls in November.

You called us invaders. The facts were false. We will remember the rhetoric, the harm it caused, and who chose to spread it. There has been over 200% increase in hate crimes against our community. In November, our voices heard at the polls. Every word of hate has real consequences—from children bullied at school to families targeted at work, places of worship threatened, and communities questioning whether they belong. We are Texans, Americans, and South Asians, and we will not be silenced. We will remember the words, the actions, and the impact. In November, we will organize, show up, and march to the polls. We belong, and we will be heard
We Will Remember in November - You Created the Fear
We will remember the fear, the detentions of U.S. citizens and green card holders, and the families who questioned whether it was safe to travel or whether they could come home. South Asian families are part of the fabric of Texas—as citizens, immigrants, parents, students, business owners, and neighbors. Our community is paying attention, and in November, we will make our voices heard.

SOUTH ASIAN AMERICAN VOTER EMPOWERMENT
The record-breaking turnout of the South Asian vote was pivotal in determining the 2020 election outcomes. Data indicates that South Asian voters were crucial in races across Texas. SAAVETX is a grassroots effort leading the largest South Asian outreach in the state of Texas. SAAVETX was an instrumental part of this historic effort. Driven by our mission to build South Asian political power, we ran innovative and multi-pronged campaigns to engage voters in key districts across Texas. For too long we have been overlooked and underrepresented. Our army of volunteers strengthened local infrastructure expanding our political consciousness by educating and empowering our electorate. Our year round activities over the last four years have proven to Texas we are a trusted proven community partner in mobilizing South Asians. We are a political force that cannot be ignored.
